| The verdict is in, and although many of you have done a marvelous job at showing your support these past few weeks it becomes my unfortunate duty to inform you that Friday, August 15th will be our last night at the Monte Cristo. Luckily we have a number of venue options available to us, but nothing quite like home. So please, join us for our last two weeks and enjoy every last drop of luxery we can. Formal announcements as to where the club will move can be expected within the week.
But without further adieu...
Join us this Friday in our second to last week of RUIN HOLLYWOOD at the Monte Cristo for "THE MAD HATTER'S ABSINTHE PARTY!!!" I'm mad, you're mad, we're all mad, and what better excuse to finish our drinks before moving down to a clean cup.
Beware the Jabberwocky if you fail to dress in theme, come as Alice, the White Rabbit, the March Hair, The Mad Hatter, the Lion, The Dutchess, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, The Carpenter, The Unicorn, The Walrus, the Mockturtle, the Queen of Hearts, a Card Soldier, a Chess Peice, a Flower, or quite simply in your most pompous high tea prodigery! There's plenty of inspiration beyond the looking glass if you dare step through.
This Wonderland event will feature complimentary hookas in the tents, a $5 discount on all Absinthe drinks ($10 Lucid Absinthe, $15 Hemmingways!), full tea party featuring scrumptous tea cakes, pastries, petit fours, fruits, and an opiate midnight performance by Sina (Malice Dreaming). And as ever, expect a curiouser and curiouser evening of Darkwave, Goth, Ethereal, Dark 80's, Trip Hop, Dark Indie, Synthpop, Dark Fusion, Bristol and all manner of Danse Macabre as spun by DJ Xian (Malediction Society) and DJ Darren Revell (Indie 103.1's "Big Sonic Heaven".
